Royal HaskoningDHV is an international engineering consultancy firm with a leading role in sustainable development and innovation. As they wanted to improve the sales skills of their top engineers and project leaders, Visible Bridges organised an intensive two-day training focused on non-verbal communication and development. 

Short overview

Day 1: Focus on assessing the personal needs of each of the professionals. While they were involved in sales talks, they were being filmed, followed by a set of questions to gain a deeper understanding of their image of themselves as professionals (based on their values, beliefs, role in the company or sales process, etc.). This assessment was discussed with the management team and used as the starting point of the training of day 2.

Day 2: Focus on improvement. First, the participants were given feedback on their non-verbal communication. We showed them the basics on how to improve their communication, and gave insights in self-development and sales techniques, based on state-of-the-art scientific research by Harvard and other business schools. At the end of the two-day training, we drafted a personalised action plan for all participants, including the members of the management team.
